How Optimizing Experiences in Digital Healthcare

Patients should not have to cope with an ineffective website when they require urgent treatment.

In order to create a new platform that gives their patients a better digital experience, Indigo Health, a regional urgent care provider in the Pacific Northwest with more than thirty-two care centers, turned to the Digital solutions axis team.

With their current website, Indigo Health encountered a number of difficulties, including website outages, automatic environment scalability, timely content creation, and giving patients the most recent updates.

The website was not integrated with third-party services that could automatically update care facility service hours or with HR platforms that might keep a list of open positions.

The current website was unable to scale to accommodate the various forms of care that Indigo planned to provide for its patients, nor was it able to manage the hours, availability, or particular

 

marketing materials for each clinic with ease. Users were unable to quickly sort clinics based on several criteria, such as whether they wanted the nearest appointment or the earliest appointment

 

regardless of distance. Overall, Indigo need a website that was more attractive, useful, and managed.

 

The DSA team chose Optimizely as the most natural fit for Indigo Health's resources and procedures after considering the technical and business needs.

 

The content authors at Indigo Health are now able to self-manage content modifications with the least amount of technical assistance thanks to Optimizely's Content Management System and DXP

 

platform. In order to ingest and transform data from Indigo's appointment platform into a unique data model established with Optimizely's content and data type editor, our development team developed adaptive patterns within Optimizely. With the use of a composable JavaScript framework,

 

the development team was able to connect and expand the frontend HTML templates. They were also able to incorporate a publish/subscribe messaging service to dynamically update appointment times and waitlists, as well as monitor on-page user behaviors and interactions.

The availability of clinic appointments is now displayed to website visitors in real-time when changes are made to the underlying platforms.  Additionally, they can search and filter the clinics that are available based on several factors, including the type of care, accessibility, and timing of appointments.

 

The group also worked on adding new features, like enhanced content templates with tailored data entry interfaces that let authors quickly include various content objects

 

into the website's pages for the marketing division. Now that the brand is consistent throughout the site, the marketing team has more influence over content management.

Indigo Health can now concentrate on content creation and optimization rather than technical installation tasks thanks to their new site on Optimizely.

 

The patients of Indigo Health now have a better overall experience and are more confident that Indigo Health will offer the proper service channels to support essential healthcare decisions. Patients can readily get the information they require about clinic service hours on the Indigo website and quickly manage their appointments there.
